African Entertainment Awards (AE Awards) showcase the rich culture of African art & entertainment and also celebrate cutting edge developments with the forward thinkers who are shaping the future of African entertainment industry.
Fredrick Osarfo Bafour, or B4, hip-hop/afro-pop artist has been nominated in the ‘best new artist category’ for AE awards. Young Ghanaian artist started his music journey in high school, and the craving for more grew every day.
Fredrick Bafour, graduate at George Brown continued exploring music through dj’ing and various other associations of it.
“Well is funny, cos I was doing music before I branched into DJing. I basically love entertainment and everything aspect of it such as music production, DJing, mc etc.” Bafour said while speaking of his leap from Dj to stage performer.
“I moved to Canada to join my family as well as to further my education. Music seems to have been travelling along as I developed great collaborations with award winning artists like Ruff & Smooth, Kesse, Dr Rad and many more in a short time.”
The artist has contributed his song to be the official song for upcoming “Ghanaâ€™s Most Beautiful” scheduled to take place in Toronto this summer. One of the opening acts for “Ice Princeâ€™s show” in Toronto has also been worked at with Bafour.
“I am very happy for my nomination! I express my profound gratitude to the organizers for helping talents like me to be heard and awarded for their contribution to the improvement of Afro-entertainment industry in Canada," said Bafour, overwhelmed with emotions as he prepares for this grand performance.
"Well, mom always said "school first" and I made sure I followed her words along with my own passion." Fredrick speaking of the support from his mother.
