With November fast approaching, men everywhere have started growing their ‘staches all in the name of a good cause.
Aimed at raising awareness of men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, Movember is the month where Mo Bros (yes, it’s a term now), grow their moustache on the first day of November to encourage conversation about these issues.
While we’re all up for growing your facial hair for charity, remember guys, try not to over do it. Looking like a Yeti isn’t exactly the sexiest look out there.
We’ve gathered three tips to keep your ‘stache in check so you always look your best:
Much like the hair on your head, your facial hair gets its moisture from the skin below it. To avoid the skin on your face from getting dry and flakey, be sure to condition your moustache daily just as you would with your own hair. Besides moisturising, use a facial scrub to remove dead skin cells that could build up underneath your facial hair for a fresher appearance.
Prevent your moustache from going out of shape by combing it regularly. We know it might sound rather simple but combing your facial hair can actually give it a more voluminous and sharp look — who could possibly say no to that right?
Should your moustache get a little unruly and you want to trim it, be sure to do so when it’s dry. Wet hair tends to be more limp and often appears longer than dry hair. This means that you could be tempted to cut a little more than required, ultimately ruining your moustache altogether.
